  • Wesleyan Athletics Spring Signing Day

    Wesleyan School is proud to have seven athletes signing this spring to play their respective sport at the next level! Watch to hear our coaches and teachers talk about each of these athletes below:

    Girls First, Boys Second for Middle School Track and Field

    The Middle School girls track team continued their winning ways in a dominant manner at Woodward Academy, with many personal records and team score contributors. Abbey Suits and Audrey Doss each contributed 12 points, scoring in each of their three individual events. The boys team was narrowly edged out, finishing in second place, with Hayden Ausherman scoring 16 team points and Will Kennedy contributing 13 points. See full meet results .

    Strong Day for Track and Field in Competitive 55彩票 Meet

    The Varsity track and field team hosted Blessed Trinity, Westminster, and King’s Ridge on Wednesday. Standout performances for the girls were Emrie Harbour (1st pole vault, 1st 100 meter hurdles), Jahni Kerr (1st 100 meter), Sade Ojanuga (1st high jump), Abby Scott (1st long jump), Nea Sanders (1st triple jump), Imani Washington (1st shot put), and Margaret Dudley (2nd 100 meter hurdles, 2nd 300 meter hurdles). Strong finishers for the boys were Josh Aspinwall (1st shot put), William Bruehl (1st 200 meter), Christopher Harrell (1st pole vault), Micah Smith (1st long jump, 2nd 200 meter), Mac Howie (2nd 1600 meter), Grant Hill (2nd 400 meter), and Jackson Walls (2nd 800 meter).     Howie, McDaniel Compete at Milton Invitational

    Mac Howie and Stafford McDaniel competed in the 13th Annual Milton Invitational Showcase on Saturday at Milton High School. Howie won the 2 mile race with a time of 9:58, while McDaniel finished in 4th place with a lifetime PR of 10:16. See full meet results .

    Middle School Boys Lacrosse Continues to Roll

    The Middle School boys lacrosse team swept their competition on Saturday, defeating Sutton Middle and St. Pius. Against Sutton, Brock Bowling and Will Campbell had 1 goal apiece, while Will Brammer led a strong defensive effort. In game two, Hayden Ausherman had 4 goals, 5 faceoffs, and scooped up 5 ground balls, while Jameson Meyer added 3 goals. Carter Fears won 8 faceoffs, and Lawson Koch anchored the defense, forcing 3 turnovers.

    Middle School Girls Lacrosse Tops Sutton Middle

    The Middle School Girls Lacrosse team split games on Saturday, defeating Sutton Middle and falling short to Fellowship Christian. Cece Miller had a strong debut in goal with 9 saves, while Bailey Rayburn picked up 4 ground balls on defense. Rylie Pierce and Hannah Brewster led the offense with 2 goals and 1 assist each.

    Successful Day at Lady Warrior Scramble for Varsity Girls Golf

    The Varsity girls golf team competed in the Lady Warrior Scramble at Bridgemill Athletic Club in Canton, finishing in 9th place. The Lady Wolves were led by partners Jada Richardson and Connor Carroll (71) and Sarah Shin and Paris Kidder (86).

    Congratulations to Sophia Strickland, class of 2016, who was named to the Women's Tennis All-Decade Team for Johns Hopkins. Strickland, a team captain who plays #2 singles and #1 doubles, was one of two active players to receive this honor, along with her current doubles partner. See story .

    Jordan Mack '16 Named Jim Tatum Award Recipient by the ACC

    Wesleyan graduate and University of Virginia senior linebacker Jordan Mack has been named the recipient of the 2019 Jim Tatum Award by the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). The award is given each year to the top senior student-athlete among the league's football players.
